I Could Just Quit Typing

But I won't.....With pictures like these (and I give the landscape and camera credit), I really don't need to post anything....but I will...I left Cameron, Arizona mid morning and rode up through Page and then to Bryce. I arrived just when I wanted (3:30) until I realized it was 4:30...Oops....I checked in (later story on that) and rode up to Bryce. They recommend that people drive all the way to the end, and then stop at view points on the way back. That way you only stop on the right side of the road and not cross traffic. I did just that and it was awesome. I'm going to go back in the morning and do a about a 3 mile hike (the Navajo-queens loop) and then off to Zion, which is about 2 hours away.
Now about the story on check in...Well, it's more about pre check in. One thing I've found about myself is that on the bike I like to know where I'm going to stay each night. It's not that I have to book rooms a week in advance, but when I'm on my way to a destination I like to know I have a place to stay. If I had my car, I could always sleep in the car. It's hard to keep the balance of not losing flexibility but not having that unsettled feeling of knowing that all the rooms in the town I'm going to are booked...
So special thanks to  for being my researcher today and helping me out...It not only save me time, but gave me the comfort of knowing I have a home for the night....

Oh, what a gorgeous view--from any angle.

I'm glad you had katherine booking you for the night--kinda frees ya up to do what's in front of you, worry free about the accommodations......unless, of course, you're concerned about her taste in penthouse suites. LOL Ohhhhhh....now wouldn't THAT be fun!

Great pics, T. I've never heard of Bryce Canyon, much less been there. Thank you for letting me tag along with you! It seems as impressive as 'the canyon'. Was it? How big is it?

Where to next, I wonder? Zion? Isn't that in the opposite direction? But this is a leisure trip, so it is fine to go any way you like! Enjoy and stay safe. See you in 16 days.

Hey Michael...welcome to "the tour" It's been a lot of fun so far and it's been difficult to not stop every 10 miles for the next shot...

Mel...I was actually a little anxt yesterday morning. Some of the area hotels are selling out or raise their rates as the rooms fill up. It does allow me to enjoy the day.

Paul....Bryce is not as big as "the canyon" but is more colorful. I'm going to hike a little today and try to get a different perspective on it..and for the opposite direction....it's about 50 miles out of the way but that's not big deal over the big picture..

Everyone else...thanks for all the comments, compliments and encouragement...sorry I can't reply to each one. I'm getting ready to get going but it's only 38 degrees and I want it to warm up a little bit..

sigh....Bryce and Zion are two of my most favorite places in all of the United States...I might have to steal a picture or two. I bet you have a couple hundred!

Glad I could help so that you can enjoy...isn't the internet a wonderful thing? The weekends are always popular in the National Park locales...so it is smart to have a place booked before you get there.

I know today will be breathtakingly lovely!

vaya con dio.
